Lagos heat and pet travel: when to move, when to wait
4 min read
Why heat matters
A van interior in Lagos midday traffic can climb past 40°C even with the AC on, because the AC is fighting both the sun and the engine load. For pets — especially flat-faced breeds, seniors, and puppies — that's the danger zone. We don't move pets in those conditions.
Our heat protocol
Between March and May, and during heat-wave windows, we shift pickups to before 9am or after 5pm. We pre-cool the vehicle for 20 minutes. We carry cool packs and bottled water. If the live forecast for the route exceeds our threshold, we reschedule — at no charge, no argument.
Need this done for your pet?
We handle the paperwork, the crate, the airline and the door-to-door — so you don't have to.
