FAQ
Everything you wanted to ask.
Booking
How far in advance should I book?+
Within Nigeria: 24–48 hours is comfortable. Internationally: 4–6 weeks because of rabies titres and import permits.
What information do you need to quote?+
Pet species, breed, weight, route (city to city), and preferred date. The more you can share, the tighter the quote.
Can I book same-day within Lagos?+
Yes, subject to handler availability. Message us on WhatsApp for the fastest answer.
Do you accept weekend and public-holiday moves?+
Yes, with a small after-hours surcharge. International arrivals on weekends require NAQS pre-arrangement.
What if my date changes?+
Free reschedule up to 24 hours before pickup. After that, a small replanning fee may apply if vet appointments need rebooking.
Safety & handling
Will my pet be in a crate the whole time?+
On road trips we plan rest breaks. On flights, the crate is mandatory and IATA-sized for safety.
Are your vehicles air-conditioned?+
Yes. We move pets in climate-considered vans with handlers trained in low-stress handling.
What if my pet gets sick during transit?+
Handlers carry a basic first-aid kit and can divert to one of our partner vets. We update you immediately.
Do you sedate pets?+
No, and you shouldn't either without a vet's written approval. Sedation at altitude is dangerous and most airlines refuse sedated pets.
What about brachycephalic (snub-nosed) breeds?+
We strongly prefer ground transport for bulldogs, pugs, boxers and Persians. If flying is essential, we book cooler departures and require a fit-to-fly cert dated within 7 days.
Are you insured?+
Yes. Our handlers and vehicles carry liability cover. Additional in-transit pet cover is available on request.
International
Do you handle NAQS permits and customs?+
Yes — end-to-end. We coordinate with the origin agent, file the NAQS import permit, clear customs and deliver to your door.
Which countries can you import from?+
Most of the world. We've handled the EU, UK, US, Canada, UAE and several African countries.
How long does NAQS clearance take on arrival?+
Typical clearance at MMIA or NAIA is 2–4 hours after landing, provided all paperwork was filed correctly in advance.
Do I need a rabies titre test?+
Only for certain origin countries. We'll tell you on the quote whether yours requires it — if so, factor in an extra 4 weeks before travel.
Can you handle export from Nigeria as well?+
Yes. We coordinate with destination-country requirements, file Nigerian export documentation, and hand off to a partner agent on arrival.
Pricing
Why is interstate priced 'from'?+
Distance, pet weight and whether it's road or air all change the number. We share the full breakdown before you commit.
Do you charge for quotes?+
No. Quotes are free and fast.
Do you take a deposit?+
For same-day Lagos moves: no, pay on completion. For interstate, international, or scheduled moves: 50% deposit to confirm, balance on delivery.
What payment methods do you accept?+
Bank transfer, USD wire (for international quotes), and card payment on request. Receipt and itemised invoice always provided.
Crates & supplies
Do I need to buy my own crate?+
No — we supply IATA-approved crates for rent or purchase, sized to your specific pet.
What if my pet doesn't fit standard sizes?+
We source extra-large crates for giant breeds. Lead time is usually 5–7 days, so flag it early.
Can my pet take a familiar blanket or toy?+
Yes, and we recommend it. One familiar-smelling item inside the crate noticeably calms most pets.
